Privacy Policy
Understand your data and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
Astranovlabs operates Word Crush and this support website. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you play, use social features, buy available digital content, or contact us. Contact: astranovlabs@yahoo.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: a Firebase account identifier and the name, email address, and sign-in information provided by Google when you choose Google sign-in. Apple sign-in is not currently enabled; if offered later, it may provide a name, email address or private relay address, and authentication identifiers. We do not receive your Google or Apple password.
- Player profile: your player name, chosen avatar, and profile photo if you upload one. The photo picker lets you choose a photo; uploading a photo is optional.
- Play and social activity: battle words, scores, outcomes, win/loss/tie records, streaks, rankings, recent activity timestamps, friend requests, challenges, and related service records.
- Groups and chat: group names and crests, membership and ownership, join requests and decisions, invite codes, messages, timestamps, challenges, mute preferences, blocks, and reports. A report can include a copy of the reported message and your reason.
- Purchases: when purchases are available, Apple processes payment. The app uses Apple transaction and entitlement information to verify ownership and restore access. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Exported music files are saved where you choose.
- Device and service information: our hosting and authentication providers process connection and security information such as IP addresses, request timestamps, and technical logs. If push notifications become available and you enable them, a device notification token can be associated with your account. Outside-app notifications are not currently enabled.
- Support: the information you send us, such as your email address, player name, and description of an issue.
Game progress, preferences, and some cached content are also stored on your device. Signing in does not necessarily back up all local single-player progress.
3. How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, operate gameplay and online battles, display profiles and rankings, connect friends, manage group access and conversations, verify purchases, respond to support and privacy requests, prevent cheating and spam, investigate reports, and maintain service security.
Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting it, applicable legal obligations, and consent where required. You may withdraw consent for optional processing by contacting us or using the relevant device settings.
4. What other players can see
Other signed-in players can see your player name, avatar or uploaded profile photo, battle record, and ranking information. Recent activity can be used to show whether you are online. Your opponents can see battle activity and results.
Accepted friends can discover summaries of groups you own, including the name, crest, owner name, and member count. They do not receive chat messages or the membership list until approved. Group members can see messages and identities shared in their group. Owners can review join requests and remove members.
Group chats are access-controlled, not end-to-end encrypted. Authorized service administrators and providers may access stored information to operate the service or investigate issues. Other members may copy or screenshot content. Blocking hides that player’s messages for you and prevents new group challenges between you; it does not erase past messages, remove either player from a group, or block every separate friend feature.
Your sign-in email is not displayed as part of the public player profile.
6. Retention and security
We retain account, gameplay, and social records while needed to provide the service, maintain records you use, resolve disputes, or address security and legal obligations. Cloud chat messages are retained beyond the latest 100 messages shown in the app. Leaving a group, signing out, blocking a player, or removing the app does not automatically delete cloud records.
In-app deletion removes the account, profile photo, submitted group messages, join requests, related reports and invitations, and personal battle records. Shared groups with remaining members transfer to another owner, and the departing owner’s group name is reset. The app clears local game progress and cached profile data as part of this process. Apple purchases and independently exported files are separate. A minimal deletion receipt and account-access lock, without profile content or email, are retained for up to 30 days plus the daily cleanup interval to confirm completion and prevent stale sign-in tokens from restoring access.
You can request deletion as described below. We may retain information that applicable law requires or permits us to keep, including necessary transaction or abuse-investigation records. We will explain relevant exceptions when responding. Copies independently saved by other players or retained by Apple and other providers may be outside our control.
We use account authentication and access controls to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process information in the United States and other countries; the protections and rights applicable to information can differ by location.
7. Your choices and rights
You can change your avatar, remove your uploaded profile photo, mute group indicators, block players within Groups, or leave a group. Device permissions can be managed in iOS Settings. You can stop optional uploads and stop using online features.
To request access, correction, account deletion, or deletion of associated personal information, email astranovlabs@yahoo.com. Include your player name and the email used to sign in; never send your password. We may ask you to verify account ownership. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
In current app versions, open My Profile → Delete Account, confirm, and verify your Google sign-in. Deletion continues on the server if you close the app; the status screen confirms when it is complete. See deletion instructions. You can also contact support if you cannot access the app. Signing out is not account deletion. Removing Word Crush data does not delete your Google or Apple account or change Apple’s transaction records.
Depending on your location, you may also have rights to obtain a portable copy, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, appeal a decision, or complain to your local privacy regulator. Contact us to exercise applicable rights. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.
8. Children and younger players
Word Crush accounts, online battles, and group chat are for people age 13 or older. Players under 18 must have a parent or guardian’s permission. If local law requires a higher minimum age or additional parental consent, those requirements also apply.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact astranovlabs@yahoo.com so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
9. This website and policy updates
This legal website does not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, contact forms, or nonessential cookies. The hosting service can process technical requests and security logs to serve and protect the website. External links and your email service have their own practices.
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will update the date on this page and provide additional notice or request consent when required by law.
